What to expect at Wiveliscombe Community Church:
We'd love to welcome you to our Sunday morning service!
Parking is easy in the adjacent Croft Way car park. When you arrive at the Community Centre, one of our welcome team will greet you, show you where to go, and answer any questions you may have.
Inside, you'll find our main hall set up cafe-style. Many who attend are regulars, but we often have visitors, too.
We're a diverse group - some exploring faith, some new Christians, and others who have been Christians for many years.
From 10:15am, we begin with tea and coffee and a relaxed time to chat.
The service starts at 10:45am. It includes:
-
A short introduction
-
Singing a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs
-
Children (under 11s) stay in for the first part of the service and usually leave for their own groups, with age-appropriate activities and teaching, but may stay in the main service if preferred
-
Most Sundays, we will then have a time of open worship and prayer
-
There is always a message from the Bible, given by one of our preaching team, or a visiting speaker
Our services usually finish around 12 noon. The person leading will explain what is happening.
You're welcome to join in as much or as little as you like - whether that means participating fully or simply observing.
If you would like to get a sense of our preaching beforehand, you can lsiten to sermons here:
